The CSCS Green Labourer Card is a type of CSCS card given to workers who do basic construction jobs on a site. It shows that the person has the right training and understands how to work safely on a construction site. This card is mainly for general labourers who help with simple and important tasks during building work.                   
Requirement for CSCS Green Card

• You must pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test for Operative within last 2 years.
• Complete Health and Safety Awareness Course/ Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment or any equivalent course.                                  

New Update:
Latest Update – CSCS Green Card (Labourer):
Starting from February 1st, 2025, new CSCS Green Labourer Cards will only be valid for 2 years instead of the earlier 5 years. After these 2 years, workers can renew it for a 5-year card, but they must show proof that they have been working in a relevant job. Based on the person’s skills and role, the right type of CSCS card will be given to help them work more effectively on site.

Renewing Your Labourer Card:
If your last Labourer card expired within the past year, you can renew it for 5 years by showing proof that you’ve been working as a labourer.

If your card expired more than a year ago, you must submit an appeal and give evidence that you have been working in a labouring job.

You need to provide evidence if:
You’re applying for a 5-year Labourer card after holding a 2-year card.
You’re renewing a 5-year card that expired less than one year ago.
